Après ses précédents tweets de soutien à la candidature marocaine, Joseph Blatter persiste et signe. Cette fois-ci à l'occasion du différend entre le Maroc et la FIFA. L'ancien président de l'instance footballistique mondiale donne en effet raison au Maroc et désavoue la FIFA.
"Rappelez-vous juste un principe fondamental dans la FIFA. Décision prise en 2011: le Congrès décidera de l'attribution de la Coupe du monde 2026 – et non un quelconque sous-comité ou Task-Force. Chaque candidat doit avoir le droit de faire une présentation au Congrès".
