The Attorney General of the King at the Casablanca Court of Appeal announced that, on November 7, 2025, the prosecution, informed of the death of Sion Shimon Harim Baroch Assidon, ordered an autopsy as part of the investigation it supervises, entrusted to a tripartite commission of forensic doctors.

The investigation found that the death resulted from infectious complications (sepsis) caused by cranial trauma, comprising cerebral-meningeal hemorrhages, cerebral contusions, and a cranial fracture, according to a press release from the Attorney General of the King at the Casablanca Court of Appeal.

These conclusions, supported by the initial findings of the investigation, favor the hypothesis that the deceased fell from a ladder while gardening, as specified by the same source.

The prosecution will ensure that the appropriate legal decision is made once the investigation is completed.

The press release recalls that the Attorney General of the King at the Casablanca Court of Appeal stated that, following the prosecution’s press release of August 19, 2025, concerning the deceased Sion Shimon Harim Baroch Assidon — found unconscious at home and evacuated to hospital — the judicial police were instructed by the same prosecution to open an investigation, the results of which have since been made public.
